A much needed V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N (bom bom bom bom) in the SPRING TIME (Beach Boys)!

Its official, I am on spring break! A much deserved and needed break, if you ask me. I had an eight hour class today for school on Multiple Intelligences. 8 hours is long, but it went surprising fast! I really enjoyed learning about the 8 intelligences and how to teach students who have different and many intelligences. I am a bodily-kinesethetic learner, but also learn visually and intra-personally (alone). Tonight I am going to a new Brazilian restaurant with some friends and then heading home tomorrow (prayers would be great for the 8 hour drive).

I had a HUGE answer to prayer this past week. After much thought and deliberation, I applied to be the Nampa High School head varsity soccer coach.... and I got the job! I am going to get the opportunity to take a broken program, and make it into something successful. Soccer has always been my passion and now I get the opportunity to have have my own program to help coach and build the skills of young females athletically, individually, and for the real world. I hope I do a good job... I know I will. These girls need a female role model and it if my desire to be that for them through life and soccer!

Now I am not one to be into politics and the bulls**t I think it entails, nor have I ever publicly voiced my opinion of an elected president, but because of my right to Freedom of Speech, I need to vent for a second:

I did not vote for President Obama in this election, I voted for John McCain. However, my vote for McCain wasn't in God's plan(obviously). But I did vow that no matter whoever is in office, I will support and pray for. I think we live in such a SIN-FILLED & BROKEN world. It is my prayer that whoever the president may be, will help fix some of the injustice, the failing economy, and help make this not only a better nation, but WORLD.

I heard a comment on Jay Leno that President Obama made that absolutely appalled me and pissed me off. He made a comment about his bowling score in relation to the Special Olympics. This was so unjust and so UNEQUAL for the people of America and this world, that live with disabilities. I understand that he apologized and made a public statement. But for the first black man that has ever been elected should especially know about inequality; making fun of people with special needs is unequal. What is our country fighting for if even our black president can't show equality and puts people down? I work with students that have special needs and know that half my my students could kick Obama's ass in bowling.

Sorry about the soap box!

Better get packing so I can get up early and head to Tiff's for NaNa's birthday party

Jamie, I loved this post! Congrats on your new job, I totally agree about Obama (I think he's one of the most arrogant people I've ever seen), and have a safe drive home tomorrow!
