The most wonderful dream...

I took a nap today, which is something I rarely get a chance to do. The first dream I had was a disgusting one about being on the skanky show Rock of Love. I actually made out with Brett Michaels in my dream. I remember even gagging as we were kissing because I knew how disgusting and disease infected girls he kissed from the other two Rock Of Love shows. This was NOT my wonderful dream. Here it was:

I was in our old bonus room in Gig Harbor. Dillbeck (Joe's best friend) was playing Wii with a girl we play soccer with named Emily. I decided to play Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega (mind you we never had these things growing up, but all of a sudden my house was equipment with every video game device).

As I am setting it up, Avery comes up behind me in her green sleeper. I look at her and go "Hi" she then goes "Hiee" (Avery voice). I said, "Can Auntie have some kisses"? She then gives me 4 good kisses on my face. I start to laugh which makes her laugh, which makes me laugh harder because I LOVE hearing her laugh. I lay her on her back and she looks up at me and says clearer than crystal "I love you". Of course I started bawling (I am starting to tear up now thinking about it) and hold her tight to me. That was the most wonderful dream.

Things have been busy lately. I have started a new class and I spend the majority of my free time reading. I have class on Saturday and then again on Tuesday with the same amount of reading we usually read once a week. Other then that things are going well.

I have been extremely homesick lately. My whole family is celebrating my dad's birthday today, and I can' be there. I just miss you all SO much.

Certain things I have been praying about lately that I would appreciate you all praying for: Tiffany's masTITis, Avery's sickness, Jackson's RSV, and now Kory's cold. My roommate's Grandpa is pretty sick with brain cancer. All of my roommates are sick BUT ME, so healing for them and NO sickness for me.

Lent starts next Wednesday. In the wake of me recently turning 24, I am sick of the way I eat and the way my body looks. So, I am going to give up ALL sweets, ice cream, and junk food for 40 days. I am hoping that this helps me start a habit of liking the way I feel when I don't eat that crap and workout and to not continue to do it. I am not catholic, Nazarene, or any particular religion that practices lent, but I thought I should do it anyways. I was going to give up alcohol, but sometimes its so nice to unwind with a glass of wine after a long day!

Hope everyone is well!

I AM Catholic, and I'm not sure I could do it...maybe I should give it a shot now that you mention it ;) Well, good luck with your new class and take care of yourself! You're doing great if you've stayed healthy this long...EVERYONE'S sick here! :)

The Rock of Love dream was a little wierd, but the Avery dream was so sweet! It's easy to see how much you love my angels, and I thank you for being so amazing to them! We all miss you too! Hang in there and call often!

Hi Jamie, I love reading your blog - but not as much as being with you. I am glad things are going well with you even if it is hard work, the new degree will pay off your whole lifetime. We are having snow and rain and wind tonight. The first time I have been out since Friday. We are both down with some bug - I am getting better but John is just starting. All we need is a week or two of sunshine - on Santorini - want to come with us?
Love you, NaNa
