After a request from my brother-in-law and mom, anyone can leave comments now. I didn't know how to change it to public, but figured out!

Sometimes...

Around this time of the year, our minds start to go millions of different directions. Sometimes (like today) I wake up and can't wait to crawl back into my bed at the end of the day. So here I am, back in my bed and instead of laying here listening to the million of thoughts I have, I decided to just vent on my blog... hey that's what its here for right? So if you wanna read on... go for it, if you don't want to hear what I have to say with my current swirling mind, I hope you enjoyed your Monday.

Sometimes the real world just sucks. I envy my high school kids some days because they have it so easy! Finances suck, rent sucks, student loans suck, drama sucks, being tired sucks, getting up at the crack butt of dawn sucks, wood floors suck (I need to sweep mine), the top of dressers suck (they get so damned cluttered), and white sheets suck (especially when you have wood floors).

Sometimes I am just too indecisive. EVERYDAY I question what I want to get my certifications for my Master's in. Some days its math. Other days I HATE numbers. Today I want it in English, but not the essay side of it. Other days I really want to do PE and Health, but don't want to be in sweats all day. What the heck do I want to teach? Some days I even think German would be fun... woozers, I need to figure it out.

And EVERYTHING costs money. I am not a big fan of that! Rent seriously is like buying fireworks... why not just light the money on fire and watch it burn? Groceries sure run out a lot faster when you buy them yourself (and live with three girls). And seriously is it necessary for Tide to cost ten dollars or more? Damn I just want clean clothes and panties.

And sometimes I am a complete, selfish grump, and need to pull my head out of my butt... as in RIGHT NOW!

I need to look at the glass half FULL, not empty! I have so much to be thankful for its amazing. I am truly blessed! We all are! Yes I can't figure out what I want my teaching certificates in, but I got into a Master's program ON MY OWN! I did it! Yes finances suck, but I have a nice house that I live in with three of my best friends, food to eat every day, a working washer and dryer for my clothes, a full time job that has full benefits, making me completely insured, and a car that is reliable and cute at the same time with it's little ski rack.

Sometimes we feel sorry for ourselves. We play the "poor me" card. I hate that! WHO CARES! We have to remember that life is about ourselves. Its about serving God and others. I am serving God by following His plan and moving to Idaho. He has made it all work this far, so I know He will keep making it work. Secondly, we should live our lives to serve OTHERS! Sometimes I feel that I don't do much at my job, but I know that I make a difference, whether big or small in those student's lives. How are you serving God and others? Are you playing the "poor me card"? If you are...STOP! Remember that each of us has God, family and friends that love us UNCONDITIONALLY. What can we do to show that back to them?

Lastly, sometimes we just need to lay in bed and blog to kick our own butt's into gear to look at life in a positive light and know that EVERYTHING will ALWAYS work out the way it is meant to.

An update!

Hi all...

Nothing too exciting to say or post right now. I am laying in bed typing this with the 24 hour flu. After working at Centennial, my body has decided to take on every germ I come across. I got sick last night and am feeling a little better today. 7-Up, water, crackers, and Joe are a God send.

Its snowing here today! HUGE flakes which means it is wet, but that also means that the mountains are getting dumped on. I can't wait to ski.

Joe and I are leaving here on Wednesday to drive home for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to see everyone. I can't wait to see Avery walk and hear her talk (everytime I try and talk to her on the phone she goes mute). It will be a much needed, relaxing, and yummy Thanksgiving break.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

NNU Volleyball Game

Chelsea, Allison, the senior of the night Amanda, Amy, and Me

With Chelsea and Amy
Cheering on Amanda

With the Peltons

My roommate Amanda is the only senior on this years NNU Volleyball team. Saturday night was her "senior night". We all went and supported her. It was alot of fun becuase our good friend Amy Carroll drove in from Portland so it was GREAT to see her. Afterwards we played some beer pong and hot tubbed. On Sunday we all went to church and breakfast. Allison and I spent the rest of the day watching episode after episode of Grey's Anatomy.... ADDICTING! Then we had our sunday night soccer game (which we tied damnit). It was a great long 4 days weekend!

4 Day Weekend!!

Last weekend I spent my much anticipated 4-day weekend up in Cascade, ID. Joe's family owns a cabin up there, so we went and spent two nights and three days in the cold winter weather. Thursday night we went for drive and found hot springs. On a hike into some, we found some gigantic kitty paws that would have kicked our butts if crossed. Friday we spent the morning 4-wheeling through the mountains and snow. It was alot of fun and BEAUTIFUL up in the hilltops. We did a little shooting with Joe's pistol and found some bear tracks... hummm I though bears were already snug in their beds at this time of the year! It was so nice to get out of town for a few days! Friday night we went up to the top of a mountain range (the same range as Tamarack) and watched the sunset. It was amazing!!
On top of the mountain watching the sunset

Me (looking good says Joe)

Finding the hot springs... shortly after we turned around thanks to the big kitty!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY AVERY!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE WORLD'S MOST AMAZING NIECE!

Exactly one year ago today, around 11:11 am, my life changed forever. My amazing sister Tiffany, blessed us all with a wonderful little addition to our family.
The first time I saw you Avery, I was speechless. Only tears could express the love, amazement, and beauty that I felt in those first moments. How was it possible to be spilling with love after only meeting someone for 20 seconds?

Avery you have changed my world. You make me want to be a better person so that I can be a role model to you. I have become extremely over protective, over sensitive, and willing to be there for you at any second. And I'm only your aunt, imagine what your amazing parents feel!

It is so fun to watch you learn to turn over, crawl, and walk (although I haven't seen this yet). I love your laugh, your lop sided smile, and love to see how much you love your mommy, daddy, and almost new born new brother! Stay strong little Avis Pavis, always listen to your parents and mind them, for they know whats best for you ALWAYS! Always read (even if the books are upside down), learn, build, grow and smile.
Happy Birthday Avery, and thank you for changing my life for the better! I LOVE YOU!

Happy Halloween!

H-A-Double L- O- Double U- Double E- ... that spells Halloween. I know, I know, your thinking "what the heck" but that was a song I learned in third grade to help spell the word "Halloween". If you need the tune, call me and I will sing it to you =)

Halloween night all the girls went to dinner because it was Allison's 22 birthday. After dinner we came back to our house and threw a little Halloween Bash. We shook a yuka, had two beer pong tables, and had yummy Jungle Juice. My roomies and I all dressed up in jersey's with jean skirts (except Paige who was a hunter). I was a Minnesota Twin, Allison was a San Diego Charger, Amanda was an Indianapolis Colt, Chelsea was Amanda (she wore her volleyball uniform). Other people came as a maid, Harry Potter, Obama. Shawn was Will Ferrell on Semi-Pro, and Joe and his friend Andy were old cranky sisters complete with wigs with curlers in them, lit sticks, coffee mugs, nighties, panty hose, and slippers!

Hope everyone had a safe, fun, and spooky Halloween!

Boise State Fever

I never thought that I would be a Bronco fan. Well... I guess I am now =). Joe said that now I was putting down roots in Idaho, I needed to become a Bronco. After dinner one night he took me to the Blue and Orange store and bought me my first BSU item (please see the cute hoodie in the pictures below). Paige, Joe, and I went to a sport bar called Elliott's and watched BSU beat San Jose last week. There was not one person that wasn't wearing orange or blue, and with every play that went in favor of the broncos, the place ERUPTED! It was a great atmosphere and I enjoyed having a beer, eating hot wings, and cheering on my new hometown team!

GO BRONCOS!!!
